The actual phrase that makes up the title of this blog entry came from a couple of friends of mine. I thought this is awesome, and here we are. I’m currently attending the SharePoint Conference 2009 in Las Vegas. This past Monday and to my surprise, Microsoft announced that the Public Beta release of SharePoint will NOT be available to us as attendees of the conference. When we all heard that, 7400 of us, we got very silent. I am sure many of us were thinking this is crazy, right? Or may be it’s a joke. Well, so far attendees don’t have the bits. We were all hoping to get a DVD or two with all the cool stuff SharePoint 2010 has to offer like what we got when attending the previous conference. But hey, things change and what can we do.

Ok, is it really World War III or SharePoint 2010 Now! I don’t think so, but I think the title is still kind of catchy 🙂 We believe that Microsoft is doing its best to provide us with a quality Beta release and we are happy for just that. We can’t wait to have it and feel it with our own hands. I believe it’s worth the wait.
